Walk of Memories
May 27, 2024 @ 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Come enjoy a tour of the American Legion Post 201. The tour starts outside where Post 201 displays a M-60 battle tank, world war vintage naval anti-aircraft guns, a Vietnam vintage Huey Helicopter, and a Korean War vintage T-33 jet.
Many of our Veterans served during the Korean and Vietnam conflicts. One Veteran, in particular flew the exact Huey Helicopter during the Vietnam conflict. At each display, our Veterans describe in detail the characteristics, typical missions and war stories. The tour then heads inside where our Post Veterans show our facility and the improvements we plan on implementing to help our Veterans in the Alpharetta, Roswell, and Johns Creek communities, commonly referred to as “North Metro”. The “Walk of Memories” is a great opportunity for the whole family to see some of the military hardware used during our storied history as the protector of the free world; the sacrifices and extreme patriotism our Veterans have for our great country! Don’t miss this once in a lifetime opportunity to see and hear what our Veterans can tell you, from first hand experiences, and the continued sacrifices they continue to experience today and tomorrow. Remember “Freedom is not Free”! |
